Hopes for the Next President
Saturday, November 8th, 2008Our hope is the next President will bring far greater transparency and collaboration to all aspects of the United States government, and encourage, by way of example, renewed openness and dialog among our citizens and among all peoples of the world.
Human knowledge and ingenuity have reached a point where no individual or small group can claim to hold all the most relevant knowledge on any subject, let alone all the best answers to any issue. President-elect Obama’s campaign demonstrated a clear appreciation for the power and usefulness of electronic media used in a collective and collaborative manner. We hope this understanding will soon transform how our government operates, paving the road for new, modern forms of communication and interaction, blurring the boundaries between government and the people.
